Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic
About the Role
ACFS have over 270+ assets in our QLD fleet ranging from:
Mercedes / Fuso / Mack / SCANIA / UD and various trailer makes and models.
We are currently seeking skilled Heavy-Duty Diesel Mechanics based out of our Port of Brisbane workshop.
This role will involve inspecting, diagnosing, servicing, performing repairs and preventative maintenance of our extensive fleet. If you are looking for an opportunity that is dynamic and working within a highly skilled team this role is for you to develop your career.
What we offer:
$50 per hour - average yearly earnings $150,000+
Full-time Position | Monday to Friday 6:00am starts 10 hour day minimum with more overtime available
Choose to join the after-hours on-call roster with generous weekly allowances & guarantee call out minimum hours.

What you will be doing:
Conducting regular maintenance checks and servicing. Ensure fleet remains at compliance standards.
Using diagnostic tools and equipment to identify issues with engines, transmissions, and other vehicle systems.
Performing repairs on drivelines, steering and suspension systems.
Keeping detailed job cards of all work performed.
Ensuring that all repairs and maintenance work complies with industry standards, manufacturer specifications, and NHVR regulations.

What you'll bring
Proven experience in a similar role (fleet experience highly regarded)
Hold a valid qualification for the repair and maintenance of heavy commercial vehicles (Certificate III in HV Mechanical Technology)
A HR, HC and Forklift licence would be advantageous
Demonstrated ability working within a fast-paced environment
Previous diagnostic experience
Be able to maintain a high degree of safety and in-line with HSE policies + procedures
Be able to maintain quality and urgency in your work
A comprehensive tool kit
Work well in a team environment
Be trustworthy, hard-working and take pride in their work
Good communication skills
