About the role

We are seeking a Qualified Painter to join the team at Pilbara Painting Pty Ltd in Karratha, WA. This is a casual position that offers flexibility and the opportunity to work on a variety of painting projects in the Pilbara region. As a Qualified Painter, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality painting services to our diverse clientele, ensuring all work meets industry standards and client expectations. This role is integral to maintaining our reputation for excellence and reliability in the local painting industry.

What you'll be doing

This role is for New Homes in Karratha, Accomadation and flights provided. 3/1 swing with Sunday's off.

Non Painters need not apply!!

1. Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and priming walls, ceilings, and other structures

2. Apply paint, varnish, and other protective coatings using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment

3. Mix and match paint colours to meet client specifications and requirements

4. Inspect finished work to ensure quality standards and client satisfaction

5. Maintain painting equipment and tools in good working condition

6. Follow health and safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment

7. Work independently and as part of a team on residential, commercial, and industrial projects

8. Communicate effectively with clients and project supervisors regarding timelines and requirements

What we're looking for

1. Current relevant painting qualifications or trade certification recognised in Western Australia

2. Proven experience working as a painter in residential, commercial, or industrial settings

3. Strong knowledge of surface preparation techniques and paint application methods

4. Competency in using various painting tools and equipment, including spray systems

5. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality finishes

6. Ability to work safely and adhere to all relevant workplace health and safety regulations

7. Strong communication skills and a professional approach to client interactions

8. Flexibility and reliability, with the ability to adapt to varying project demands

9. A valid driver's licence and ability to travel to job sites throughout the Karratha region
