Qualified Carpenter (Permanent Full-Time)

Location:  Melbourne Metro / Geelong / Regional VIC
Work Type: Full-Time, 36+ hours per week
Salary/Rate: $62.21 per hour + Super + Allowances

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and qualified Carpenter to join our team. This role involves a combination of commercial and residential carpentry work including manufacturing joinery, cabinets, foyers as well as installation of hoardings, cladding and architraves etc.

What You’ll Do (Key Responsibilities) 

• Perform all aspects of carpentry from framing to lock-up and fix.

• Read and interpret building plans and specifications.

• Ensure all work complies with Victorian building regulations and safety standards.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work site.

• Liaise with clients, site managers, and subcontractors in a professional manner.

• Mentor apprentices  

Duties

• Exposure to diverse commercial carpentry projects

• Timber & steel framing

• Internal and external wall claddings

• Manufacture and install of various types of doors & windows

• Heritage restoration works

• Undertake defect work to fix existing fittings

 

What You Need to Succeed (Requirements) 

• Trade Certificate/Qualified Carpenter: Certificate III in Carpentry or equivalent.

• Experience: Proven experience in Residential/Commercial/Maintenance work.

• Licencing: Valid White Card (Construction Induction Card).

• Tools: Comprehensive hand/power tools.

• Reliability: Strong work ethic, punctual, and able to work independently or in a team.

• Must have drivers’ licence and own reliable vehicle

• Must have valid working rights in Australia. 

• Must have a Working with children Check
