Thompson Body Works is a well-established collision repair business in Cooma, NSW, committed to delivering high-quality vehicle repairs and exceptional customer service. We are seeking a Trade Qualified Panel Beater or experienced Apprentice to join our professional and friendly team.

About the Role
As a Panel Beater at Thompson Body Works, you will be responsible for restoring vehicles to their pre-accident condition while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.
You will work closely with estimators, parts personnel, painters, and management to ensure repairs are completed accurately and on schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
Follow all workplace health and safety policies and procedures.
Wear appropriate PPE at all times.
Accurately clock on and off jobs and maintain job records.
Receive and inspect parts to ensure they are correct and undamaged.
Disassemble vehicles according to repair specifications.
Label and store components correctly during repairs.
Identify and report any additional damage or repair requirements.
Repair damaged vehicles in accordance with repair methods and job sheets.
Prepare and prime vehicles where required.
Reassemble vehicles to manufacturer and repair standards.
Conduct quality checks to ensure repairs meet industry standards.
Complete all required documentation and quality assurance processes.
Maintain a clean and organised work area.
Care for workshop tools and equipment.
Assist in mentoring apprentices where required.
Undertake reasonable duties as directed by management.

Essential Requirements
Trade Qualified Panel Beater or 3rd or 4th year apprentice
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Ability to work efficiently while meeting repair deadlines.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Strong problem-solving ability.
Reliable, punctual, and professional attitude.
Commitment to workplace safety.
Current Australian driver's licence preferred.
