About You:

Building on our ongoing success, the Fenner team is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our Mt Isa Service Team. This permanent, full-time role operates on a Monday to Friday 5/2 roster with a minimum of 38 hours per week, with opportunities for potential overtime. 

You will have - 
  • Mechanical Trade Qualification
  • Proven welding skills
  • Demonstrated proficiency in mechanical conveyor maintenance
  • Self-starter with a commitment to safety and focus on quality
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Current Australian Driver’s license
  • Unlimited working rights in Australia
  • White Card, Dogging, Rigging or Working at heights (desired, but not essential)


About the Role:

As part of the service team, you'll be responsible for:
  • Performing installations, change-outs, and maintenance on roller frames, rollers, chutes, pulleys, scrapers, idlers, and other mechanical components.          
  • Fabricate large conveyor components as per issued drawings and customer specifications from profile cut and pre-cut steel.
  • Fully weld components and finish to pre-paint stage to quality assurance standards
  • Ensure that the plant, tools, vehicles and safety equipment associated with the role are operated in a safe and effective manner in line with company safety standards
  • Conduct conveyor audits to diagnose condition and faults on mechanical equipment, make recommendations on preventative maintenance or how to improve production
  • Assist with job scoping and planning.
  • Participate in and sign off on JSA’s, safety observations or toolbox discussions
