Heavy Diesel Fitter/Mechanic

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Truck & Trailer Mechanic to join our team at Formula Transport in Malaga, Western Australia. This is a part-time or casual role, offering the flexibility to balance your work and personal commitments. You will be responsible for preventative maintenance & breakdown repairs on a wide range of Road Transport equipment, some of which may include:

• Mack & MAN Prime Movers.

• End tipper combinations.

• Skid Steers

• Backhoe Loaders

What you'll be doing

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on a variety of trucks and trailers

• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues, identifying the root cause and implementing effective solutions

• Follow safety protocols and procedures to ensure the highest standards of workmanship

• Maintain detailed records of all work carried out

• Collaborate with the wider team to ensure the efficient operation of the fleet

What we're looking for

• Relevant trade qualifications in Automotive Mechanics or a related field

• Extensive experience as a Truck & Trailer Mechanic, preferably within the transport or logistics industry

• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve complex mechanical issues

• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong communication skills to liaise with colleagues and customers

• You reside in Australia with legal working rights.

• You have experience with a wide range of Road Transport Equipment.

• You have an Australian recognised Trade Certificate (Diesel Trade Certificate.)

• You have a current Drivers Licence (Ideally HR.)
