The Opportunity
We are currently seeking a casual Aerial Sensor Operator to join our established and growing Land Inspection and Monitoring team. You will be deployed to the project location where you will have the flexibility to work either two, three or four weeks at a time. You will be one of two operators on the plane responsible for but not limited to the following:
· Operate, maintain, and enhance proprietary LiDAR, Imagery & GNSS Sensor systems to capture high quality data for our clients;
· Diagnose and repair sensor faults (supported by the Aerial Sensor Technician);
· Provide valuable information to enhance sensor functionality for continuous improvement and actively participate in quality control of LiDAR and Imagery data;
· Execute flight planning and manage sensor repair logistics while ensuring seamless operations;
· Assist in the development and implementation of innovative data acquisition and processing methodologies, while adhering to Fugro’s HSE.
About You
If you enjoy the flexibility of a casual roster, being out in the field seeing the Australian landscape from above and have been involved with aircrafts, we would like to hear from you.
Extra Things we value:
Tertiary degrees or relevant industry experience is highly beneficial;
Knowledge of Geospatial sensors and associated GNSS, LiDAR and Imagery principles with a passion for aviation is desirable;
Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to understand complex systems and computer networking;
Comfortable performing flights in Light Fixed and Rotary Wing Aircraft;
Demonstrated Fault Finding and diagnostic skills in a high pressure environment.
