Trailer Technician

Coastmac is a national distributor of light vehicle trailers and horse floats.

We manufacture the Coastmac range of plant, tipper, car and box trailers, and are also a dealer for Brian James Trailers and Riviera Horse Floats.

The role

To help meet our production requirements we are looking for a trailer technician for our West Gosford workshop to assemble and build our quality trailer range. No two days are the same and you will learn everything about trailer and horse float assembly.

The work involves:

• Kitting up trailers for assembly

• Assembly / building of all types of trailers 

• Occasional welding and fabrication work

• Spray painting and installation of 12v electrics

• Inspection and quality control of final products

• Using a forklift

The position will report to our Workshop Supervisor, and the ideal candidates will be hard working, fit, and have experience in a similar role or in a related field such as fabrication or mechanical maintenance.

Qualifications & experience

• Driver's licence (Essential)

• Forklift licence (Preferred)

• Competent in the use of power tools and hand tools

• Trade skills or experience in a relevant field such as welding, carpentry or automotive repairs

• Welding experience (Preferred)

Work hours

Monday - Thursday: 7am - 4pm

Friday: 7am - 2pm
