CFX Supervisor

We’re currently looking for a CFX Supervisor to lead hero creature work at the highest level — creatively, technically, and strategically.

This is a senior leadership position with real responsibility: defining the tone, performance standard, and technical direction of creature work within the broader performance team.

You will lead complex builds in Houdini and Maya, guide artists through sophisticated setups, and ensure every asset meets world-class standards.

Leadership Focus

• Own the creative and technical direction of hero creatures across your shows
• Define and uphold the visual and performance standard for creature work
• Partner closely with VFX, CG, and Animation Supervisors to align creative vision and execution
• Work with Production to deliver ambitious work within schedule and budget
• Mentor and direct artists through clear feedback and hands-on leadership
• Improve workflows, templates, and pipeline efficiencies
• Help shape the long-term direction of the creature department

Key Skills & Experience

• Extensive production experience in senior creature roles
• Proven leadership on large-scale VFX projects
• Deep expertise in Houdini and Maya for complex creature systems
• Strong understanding of modelling, lookdev, rigging, and creature FX
• Ability to review work with both artistic judgment and technical precision
• Clear communicator with the confidence to lead change
