I'm currently partnering with a leading South Australian client to recruit an experienced Security Team Leader who enjoys leading teams, driving project outcomes, and working alongside technicians in the field.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on leader looking to take ownership of regional security projects across South Australia, including the Riverland, while supervising technicians and trade assistants to deliver high-quality outcomes for government, utility, commercial and critical infrastructure clients.

The Opportunity

Due to continued growth and newly secured long-term contracts, my client is seeking a motivated Security Team Leader to join their regional operations team.

Operating in a DIDO capacity Monday to Friday, you'll be responsible for leading site-based teams, coordinating daily activities, ensuring work targets are achieved, and maintaining high standards of safety, quality and customer service.

This role will suit someone who enjoys being on the tools while also taking responsibility for crew performance, project delivery and client outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor and supervise Security Technicians and Trade Assistants across regional project sites.
  • Coordinate daily work schedules and allocate resources to achieve project milestones and productivity targets.
  • Monitor work progress and ensure installations, maintenance and service activities are completed safely, efficiently and to specification.
  • Work alongside your team in the field, providing technical support and leadership when required.
  • Install, service, maintain, troubleshoot and commission security systems including CCTV, access control, alarms, IP surveillance and networking equipment.
  • Liaise with clients and stakeholders, providing regular updates and maintaining strong working relationships.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality and operational procedures.
  • Support project delivery across regional South Australia, including the Riverland and surrounding areas.

About You

We're seeking a proven security professional who can combine strong technical capability with practical leadership skills.

You will ideally have:

  • Previous experience leading or supervising field-based technicians and trade assistants.
  • A track record of successfully managing daily work targets, project deliverables and site-based activities.
  • Experience installing, maintaining and commissioning electronic security systems.
  • Strong knowledge of CCTV, access control, alarm systems and associated networking technologies.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and team leadership.

Desirable Experience

  • Hills Reliance
  • Interlogix Tecom
  • Gallagher
  • Inner Range Integriti
  • Other leading electronic security platforms

Essential Licences

  • SA Security Licence
  • SA Driver's Licence
  • ACMA Open Cabling Registration
  • White Card

What's On Offer

  • Salary package of $100,000 - $130,000 + Super + Allowances.
  • Accommodation provided for regional work.
  • Living Away From Home Allowance (LAFHA).
  • Overtime opportunities available.
  • Company vehicle, fuel card, laptop, mobile phone, uniforms and PPE provided.
  • Ongoing training and professional development.
  • Long-term career opportunities with a respected and growing South Australian organisation.
  • Diverse project work across regional South Australia, including the Riverland.
  • Supportive team culture that genuinely values its people.

If you're a hands-on leader who enjoys developing teams, delivering projects and building strong client relationships while remaining technically involved, I'd welcome a confidential discussion regarding this opportunity.
