Job description:

CostMEI is a specialist MEI cost engineering consultancy working across Australia and APAC, with deep capability in HV electrical, renewables and transmission. We're looking for an electrical estimator in Brisbane to join our senior team and grow with us.

You'll prepare estimates across all stages of project development, from early budgeting with limited information through to contract negotiation and variation assessment. You'll be mentored directly by our senior estimators and directors, learning the methods and proprietary tools that set CostMEI apart.

We're especially keen to hear from people with strong electrical or technical field experience who want to move into estimating. If you've worked as an electrical project engineer, designer, project controls/scheduler, or in HV/transmission delivery and want a new challenge, we'll train you in the estimating craft.

What you'll bring:

• 3+ years in estimating, electrical engineering, design, project controls, scheduling, or HV/transmission trade/delivery

• Strong technical grounding in electrical and/or renewables/transmission work

• A commercial, problem-solving mindset, able to find solutions when information is incomplete

• Willingness to learn estimating software (e.g. Expert Estimator, Candy, CATS) and our tools

• Ability to work in a close knit team, supporting others and drawing on the experience around you

• Eligible to work in Australia; open to interstate and occasional international travel
