About the role

We are seeking a Qualified Technician & Apprentice to join our service team at our Springwood location. This is a full-time position offering an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge OMODA and JAECOO vehicles in a professional automotive workshop environment. You will be responsible for performing diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on electric vehicles and modern automotive systems, whilst supporting the development of apprentices and contributing to our team's commitment to excellence.

Key responsibilities

1. Perform scheduled maintenance and servicing on OMODA and JAECOO vehicles in accordance with manufacturer specifications

2. Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults using appropriate diagnostic equipment and tools

3. Conduct vehicle inspections and provide customers with detailed reports on vehicle condition and recommended repairs

4. Mentor and supervise apprentices, providing guidance on technical skills, safety practices, and customer service standards

5. Maintain accurate service records and documentation for all work completed

6. Adhere to all health and safety regulations and workshop safety protocols

7. Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of repairs

8. Maintain a clean and organised workshop environment

9. Stay current with technical training and updates relating to OMODA and JAECOO vehicle systems

What we're looking for

1. Current automotive technician qualification or equivalent certification recognised in Australia

2. Certificate III in Automotive qualification is required for Qulified Tech role

3. Proven experience working as an automotive technician, preferably with modern or electric vehicles

4. A minimum of 3+ years of automotive experience is required for Qulified Tech role

5. Strong knowledge of vehicle diagnostics, electrical systems, and mechanical repair procedures

6. Proficiency in using automotive diagnostic equipment and workshop management systems

7. Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail

8. Ability to communicate technical information clearly to both customers and team members

9. Demonstrated ability to mentor and support apprentices in a professional manner

10. Valid driver's licence and willingness to test drive vehicles as required

11. A commitment to health and safety standards and best practices in the automotive industry

12. Experience with electric vehicle technology or willingness to undertake training in this area
