Audio Visual Event Technicians

We're looking for an experienced Audio Visual Technician to join our high-performing Sydney team. This is a great opportunity to work on extraordinary events with an industry leader that values your expertise, encourages growth, and empowers creative problem-solving.

This is a hands-on role suited to technicians who are confident delivering polished, high-quality events in live environments. You'll help deliver everything from conferences and corporate events to gala dinners, premium hospitality experiences and large-scale productions, working closely with clients, venue partners and our skilled production teams to ensure seamless execution.

What You'll Do:

• Lead and support the setup, operation and pack-down of AV for conferences, gala dinners, corporate events, premium hospitality experiences and large-scale productions

• Operate audio, vision, lighting, staging and related event technology to deliver exceptional outcomes for clients

• Act as a key onsite technical contact, supporting clients, venue partners and internal teams with professionalism and confidence

• Anticipate client and event requirements, proactively solving problems to support a seamless event experience

• Take ownership of event execution, on-site client liaison, and crew leadership

• Provide outstanding customer service and uphold Microhire's values of integrity, respect, and professionalism

What You'll Bring:

• Ideally 3+ years' AV experience in corporate events, production, venue services or live events

• Strong technical capability across audio, vision, lighting and stagecraft

• Proven experience delivering live events with a strong focus on customer outcomes

• Confidence working directly with clients, venue stakeholders and internal delivery teams

• A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with the ability to stay calm under pressure

• Excellent communication skills and professional presentation suited to premium venue environments

• A passion for delivering exceptional service and high-quality event experiences

• Strong teamwork skills, attention to detail and pride in delivering polished work

• Working rights in Australia

We're particularly interested in experienced technicians ready to take on a high-profile venue-based role. However, if you have less than 3 years' experience and a great attitude, strong technical foundations and a passion for events, we may also consider you for other available technician opportunities. Casual roles are also available.
