Full time
Southern Highlands / Campbelltown / South Coast
Stewart Electrical Group is a Sydney-based electrical contracting business working across residential construction, commercial fitout, aged care, and smart home installations.
We're expanding across the Southern Highlands, Campbelltown corridor, and South Coast — and we're looking for a 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year apprentice based in or willing to work across those areas. We want someone who wants to learn the trade properly — shows up, pays attention, and takes pride in doing things right.
The Role
Full-time apprenticeship working toward your Certificate III in Electrotechnology (UEE30820) through TAFE NSW. We're accepting 2nd, 3rd, and 4th year apprentices only — if you're partway through and looking for a better opportunity, we want to hear from you. You'll work alongside licensed electricians across the Southern Highlands, Campbelltown, and South Coast from day one. This role involves travel to rural and regional areas and occasional interstate work — you must be willing and available to work away when required.
What You'll Be Doing
On-site electrical installation across residential and commercial projects
Cable installation, containment, and termination under supervision
Assisting with switchboard works and circuit testing
Learning safe work practices, fault-finding, and trade documentation
Attending TAFE block release as required by your training plan
Rural, regional, and interstate project work as required
What We Offer
Structured training on real projects — not warehouse or labouring work
Apprenticeship wages per the Electrical, Electronic and Communications Training Package Award 2020
Uniforms and PPE supplied
Small crew — you'll get hands-on time from your first week
Support through TAFE and block release
All travel, accommodation, and meals covered when working away
A clear path — we promote from within
To Apply
Apply via Seek with a current resume and a brief cover letter (or message) telling us why you want to work in the electrical trade. Candidates must be willing to travel and work away from home including rural, regional, and interstate locations.
No experience required — attitude and commitment are what we're assessing at this stage. Shortlisted candidates will be contacted for a phone screen.
